Big Waste Problem Addressed with Dyper’s Compostable Nappies
SUSTAINABILITY/PRODUCT

Dyper is actively reducing the impact of disposable diapers/nappies with their new diapers that prioritize both safety and sustainability. They are made with Chlorine-Free fluff pulp and are free from harmful chemicals such as latex, alcohol, perfumes, PVC, lotions, TBT, and phthalates. The primary material is a Bamboo viscose, a soft, breathable, and odorless material that enhances comfort. Additional plant-based materials like PLA films enable the diaper to be composted via a post collection service helping to reduce waste and support sustainability. As a a parent it’s wonderful to see this as even with re-usable nappies we often resort to a disposable when out and about. So knowing that we are using a nappie that isn’t full of petrochemical based plastics is wonderful.

Xiomi Re-Imagine Airconditioner’s
PRODUCT/APPLIANCES

Xiaomi is flexing its innovative approach by venturing into new design areas with the Top Air Vent Pro, a unique air conditioning solution. Unlike traditional air conditioners that draw air from outside, this model takes in air from the bottom and is designed to be mounted near the ceiling. It blows cool air along the ceiling during warm weather, and when it's time for heat, the unit’s deflector directs warm air downward along the wall. The heat then travels along the floor, dissipating upward for more efficient temperature control. This creative design also reflects Xiaomi’s ability to think outside the box and offer fresh alternatives in home appliances. Falling in line with other household appliances, the air conditioner has been for all too long, plastic and taking inspiration from the 2000’s with traditional softer edges and radii. It's refreshing to see more angular and minimal forms coming into this space.
