It’s just wonderful to see more products that are providing longer lasting, repairable designs. A hark back to times where premium products were crafted to such a high degree that repairing was the go to method, that they came with a guarantee of life long service. Fairphone has built upon this and introduced their ear buds that enable users to replace common parts that fail first. Namely the batteries, this wonderful modular compact design is a feat of great design to ensure the longevity and user repair of their product.

The app allows consumers to purchase food that hasn’t been used for less than half the retail price. This wonderful app provides not only an accessible way to reduce food waste but also is very affordable with surprise daily bags being provided with local food that is now going to be saved.

Consumer Goods- Reducing Nappy and Sanitary Product Impact Using Agricultural Waste
Wonderful research coming out of Sweden is showing promise in using common agriculture waste lignin and cellulose to increase absorption properties to improve upon plant based materials in diapers to replace their plastic counterparts. This would be a great alternative to a lot of commercial diapers that have plastic and make it difficult to dispose, additionally there are better alternatives in market however a common complaint is that they aren’t as absorbent and need to be thicker. Hopefully this new wonder material can help.

These headphones can be disassembled and repaired whilst delivering high quality sound performance. For me these are great and I wonder when they are going to do their adult version.

This wonderfully playful concept builds upon the resurgence of vinyl. The added experience of being able to interact with your vinyl whilst seeing the wonderful display of the artwork which is often hidden on a shelf. Once loaded the vinyl acts as a key to start playing the digital copy, with a detachable controller for song control and playback.
